Ethics: Theory and Practice (9th Edition)

Product Description

Well renowned and highly acclaimed, Ethics: Theory and Practice introduces readers with little or no background in philosophy or ethics to traditional and contemporary ethical theory using a clear, jargon-free style and a flexible organization. Discussing theories that readers can relate to their own life experiences, this Ninth Edition applies its material to various fields in the real world such as business, medicine, the environment, and the media. A host of examples and case studies illustrates for readers how to set up their own systematic, rational ethics and how to apply ethical theories to traditional and contemporary moral issues. For professionals with a career or interest in philosophy, ethics, psychology, and education.

Solid Text With Good Instructors Manual
Rating Point :5 Helpful Point :2

This text is solid and easy to read. The case studies are up to date and relevant. This is one of the more "user friendly" texts I have used this year.

The instructors manual has good test questions, excellent synopsis, and workable suggestions introducing each class. If you use this text to teach a class, get the instructors manual.

Pretty standard philosophy text
Rating Point :3 Helpful Point :1
Simple to read, pretty basic philosophy text. Nothing to get excited about. Its making the class pretty easy as the chapters are fairly short and the concepts are presented in succinct form.
DATES Test material
Rating Point :5 Helpful Point :1
I used this text to review for the DANTES "Ethics in America" test (2007) and out of a perfect score of 80 earned a 73 (an A or 92nd percentile).

Very well written- not dry as some texts can be. If you want quick review its in here too- outlines galore!
